Who We Are

AGT Soileos is on a mission to support the transition to sustainability in agriculture with Soileos, a novel micronutrient biofertilizer that increases crop yields, improves soil health, is non-polluting and climate positive. For our Western Canadian sales team, we are looking for a Sales Manager who can accelerate our growth, work with our retailer partners and growers, and lead a small team of sales reps.


Job Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager will identify and integrate new business opportunities in Eastern Saskatchewan, while leading a team of regional sales agronomists. This role will develop new and maintain existing distributor and retail partnerships, lead the Canadian sales team and achieve sales targets for the current and expanding portfolio.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets in Western Canada with a focus on Eastern Saskatchewan.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented team culture.
  • Manage and grow existing distributor and retail relationships, while also identifying and acquiring new distributor and retail partners.
  • Provide technical information and support to customers about Soileos products, training distributors and growers on product usage, positioning and market success.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Customer Support, Production and sourcing teams, as well as R&D to optimize customer experience and product offerings, and production scheduling.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and other seasonal events.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, and budgets for senior management.
  • Forecasting and tracking sales, margins and market share for assigned products and partnerships.
  • Lead, coach, train and mentor a team of sales representatives, setting clear objectives to drive performance.
  • Manage the sales team's activities and territories to ensure effective coverage and support of new and prospective customers.


Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or post secondary diploma in a related field.
  • You have at least five (5) years’ experience in sales leadership roles; focus in Agribusiness preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing team members across large territories.
  • Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry and farming practices in the Canadian Prairies.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You show initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • You can successfully juggle multiple tasks and have outstanding time management skills.
  • You are accountable, reliable, punctual, and resilient, with an unwavering work ethic.
  • You understand the value of collaboration with the cross functional teams to solve problems and achieve a common goal.
