AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be based at our Regina Head Office and is responsible to monitor the compliance of our company safety standards and provide support to all company locations in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In addition, the Safety Coordinator will assist with the continuous developments to our corporate safety management system.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Conduct regular site visits to identify noncompliance and work with the local safety representatives and committees to provide support and remedy any issues identified
- Conduct or assist in corporate site audits and complete the necessary documentation
- Promote a positive safety culture by creating meaningful connections, coaching when necessary, listening and responding to employee’s safety related requests
- Assist local Safety Representatives and Committees to conduct thorough occurrence investigations with accurate root causes and effective corrective action
- Review safety related inspections and reports completed by each location and provide constructive feedback
- Host monthly safety training sessions with local management and safety committees (in person and/or online)
- Attend local safety meetings at locations occasionally to provide corporate support
- Manage the employee certification program and coordinate training when required
- Provide reporting and app support to employees
- Assist planning the annual safety summits or other safety related events
- Review and provide feedback on the continuous developments of the corporate safety management system
- Keep the Safety Manager apprised of safety concerns identified at the locations
- Other duties as required

- Are ok with some after-hours calls and/or work
- Are free to travel between Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba periodically
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Have a valid Passport
- Have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Have minimum 1 year of health and safety experience
- Have experience writing SOPs, work instructions and policies
- Have the added advantage experience working in a grain facility and have Train the Trainer experience on various pieces of equipment or previous experience operating small equipment
